Jobs to keep coming to Williamson County in 2015
Williamson County experienced a banner year for job growth in 2014, and officials say the county will continue to see strong numbers in the new year.
Some 6,600 new jobs were added to the county roster in 2013 and 2014 — a job growth rate of six percent, which is well-beyond the national average of one and one-half percent for the same period.
“This past year has been really great for job creation in Williamson County, and we have the numbers to back that up,” said Matt Largen, president and CEO of Williamson Inc.
Williamson continues to experience momentum from corporations such as Nissan North America, which relocated it North America headquarters from the Los Angeles area, said Largen, who credits the “the fundamentals” for the county becoming a destination for corporations.
