As summer approaches, we near the end of the school year. Nashville is a great place for kids to spend their summer.The weather is great, and there is no shortage of fun to be had. Attending a summer camp is a great option for your children. They’ll be able to participate in lots of activities, and make friends with other kids their age. Here are some of the top summer camp programs in the Nashville area!!
Leadership Academy
Leadership Academy offers options for kids of all ages. They have separate programs tailored for your young ones and your older ones. They believe in using outdoor play exploration to increase creativity and social intelligence. Their camps include Camp Warner Park, Camp Bells Bend Beaman, GROW Enrichment, Teen Leadership Adventure, Mountain Bike Camp, and Nashville Sail Camp. Leadership Academy camps are for kids age 5-17 and run from June 3 – August 9.
Camp Widjiwagan
This camp is located next to Percy Priest Lake and is operated by the YMCA of Nashville. They follow the values of creating a safe, fun, magical, and educational experience for all guests. Widjiwagan has various week long overnight camping options, and day camps Monday through Friday. They also have a ranch program which offers equestrian experiences, whether you’re a day or overnight camper. Widjiwagan is open from May 27 – August 7.
iD Tech Camp for Kids & Teens
This camp is for students age 7-19, and is an alternative to traditional outdoor camps. If you’re child isn’t much into outdoors, then this may be a nice option. They do a variety technology learning including coding, designing video games, producing videos, working with AI and machine learning, laptop building and more. It’s a great option to keep education going in the summertime. They offer weeklong, day, and overnight camps that run from June through August.
